This year’s “Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali” cycle race, featuring cyclists from all over the world, passed along the western slope of the La Morra hill during the Barolo–Barbaresco stage – where a large proportion of Paola Oberto’s vineyards are located, surrounding the Santa Caterina Langhe Country House.
This cyclist race traverses four Italian regions, passing through areas of outstanding natural beauty and some of the country’s most important wine-growing regions, where world-renowned wines are produced. The race comprises five stages: from the picturesque Barbaresco–Barolo route, in the heart of the Langhe, to the Lodi–Massalengo circuit in the Lombardy plains. It continues with the Erbusco–Iseo stage, through the hills of Franciacorta, and the Ponte di Piave–Valdobbiadene stage, through the Prosecco region. The grand finale is the Cormons–Gemona del Friuli stage, which takes the peloton through the landscapes and traditions of Friuli Venezia Giulia. A sporting journey that combines cycling and the local area.
